1. Information we collect
- Account and contact information: name, email address, mobile number, profile image, account identifier, and authentication information.
- Social sign-in information: when you choose Google, Apple, Facebook, or another provider, we receive information you authorize that provider to share. For Facebook Login, this may include your public profile, email address, profile image, and Facebook user identifier. Findhub requests the
public_profileandemailpermissions. - Location and address information: approximate or precise device location when you grant permission, search areas, saved delivery and billing addresses, and neighbourhood information.
- Search and activity information: searches, filters, uploaded search images, product comparisons, seller interactions, cart activity, feedback, and app feature usage.
- Order and transaction information: products ordered, seller, fulfilment details, order status, and transaction references. Payment providers may process payment-card or other payment details under their own privacy policies; Findhub does not need to store complete payment-card numbers.
- Device and technical information: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, app version, language, device or notification token, diagnostic data, and cookie or similar-technology identifiers.
- Communications: messages and information you send to customer support, sellers, or through feedback and contact forms.
2. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- create and secure accounts, authenticate users, and provide social login;
- provide local search results, comparisons, recommendations, carts, orders, delivery, and seller connections;
- personalize the service using location, searches, and preferences;
- communicate about accounts, orders, service changes, support, security, and marketing where permitted;
- operate, analyze, troubleshoot, protect, and improve the service; and
- prevent fraud, enforce our terms, comply with law, and protect users and Findhub.
3. Legal bases
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process information to perform our contract with you, with your consent (including for device location and optional marketing), to comply with legal obligations, and for legitimate interests such as securing and improving the service. You may withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing that occurred before withdrawal.
4. How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We may share relevant information with:
- Sellers and fulfilment partners to respond to enquiries and complete orders, delivery, or support.
- Service providers supporting hosting, authentication, maps and location, analytics, communications, notifications, customer support, fraud prevention, and payments.
- Social login providers when you ask us to connect or authenticate your account.
- Authorities or other parties when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, investigate abuse, or complete a corporate transaction.
Service providers may use information only to provide services to us and subject to appropriate obligations.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
We may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember settings, prevent abuse, and understand service performance. You can control browser cookies and device permissions through your browser or device settings, although disabling them may affect some features.
6. Retention
We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described above, including while your account is active and for periods required to meet legal, accounting, dispute-resolution, fraud-prevention, and security obligations. Retention periods vary by the type of information and applicable requirements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
7. Security and international transfers
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Findhub is based in the United Arab Emirates, and information may be processed in the UAE and other countries where our providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
8. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You can update account information in Findhub, change location and notification permissions in device settings, and unsubscribe from optional marketing using the instructions in the message. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
9. Account and data deletion
You can request deletion through any of these methods:
- Use the account deletion controls in Profile or Settings when available.
- Visit the public account deletion page.
- Email info@findhub.ae with the subject “Data deletion request” and the email address or mobile number connected to your account.
We aim to respond within 30 days. After verification, we delete or anonymize covered information unless retention is required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution purposes. Removing the connection in Facebook or another provider does not by itself delete information already held by Findhub; use one of the methods above to request deletion from Findhub.
10. Children
Findhub is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us so we can take appropriate action. A higher age threshold may apply in some countries.
11. Third-party services
Findhub may link to sellers, payment services, social networks, or other third-party services. Their handling of information is governed by their own privacy policies, not this policy.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service or legal requirements change. We will post the updated policy at this URL, revise the “last updated” date, and provide additional notice when required.
